Your work and what you make with the tools: free for any use

Your text stays yours. What you type or open in a tool is processed in your browser and is not uploaded, so we receive no copy and claim no rights in it.

Everything you produce with the tools (LaTeX code, BibTeX entries, formatted references, tables, captions and headings, “your output”) is yours to use for any purpose, including commercial work and publication, royalty-free and worldwide. No attribution or credit is required.

Two limits: material by third parties that is listed on the credits page keeps its own licence; and you may not copy, resell, mirror or repackage the site itself, its code, its tools or its design as a competing tool or service, or use automated tools to copy the site in bulk or to overload it.

No warranty

We test the tools against worked examples from the style guides and package documentation, but mistakes can happen, and universities and journals often have their own rules; check anything important before you submit it. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Content and licences

The site’s design, text and code are © ManuscriptKit. Third-party material is listed with its licence on the credits page, and that licence applies to it.

Advertising and third-party services

The site may show advertising and may use visit statistics. These are described in the privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content of other websites we link to.
